Thunder Battery & Partners Warranty Policy:

We stand behind the performance and reliability of every Thunder Battery. Below is everything you need to know about your warranty coverage.

What's Covered:

Thunder Battery products are guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the warranty period specified on each battery label and in our pricing documentation.

When Coverage Begins:

Your warranty starts from the original purchase date.

For your convenience:
✔ All receipts are securely stored for customers who create an account
✔ No need to worry about losing proof of purchase

What We'll Do:

If your battery meets the warranty conditions:

  • ✔ It will be replaced free of charge
  • ✔ Prorated warranty applied to retail price after free replacement term ends
  • ✔ Replacement is provided at the sole discretion of Thunder Battery
  • ✔ Warranty replacements are limited to one per battery

⚠️ What's Not Covered

The following situations are not covered under warranty:

  • Warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable
  • Misuse or neglect, including:
    • Shorting terminals
    • Improper maintenance
    • Failure to maintain water levels (for serviceable batteries)
    • Improper charging or long-term storage leading to sulfation
  • Physical damage or abuse
  • Environmental or external damage, including:
    • Lightning, fire, hail, collision, explosion
    • Vandalism or theft
  • Improper installation or use, including:
    • Reverse polarity
    • Overcharging or undercharging
    • Deep discharge from parasitic loads
  • Improper handling, such as lifting or carrying by terminals
  • Use in applications the battery was not designed for
  • Batteries with an open circuit voltage (OCV) ≤ 10.5V, which are considered over-discharged and void due to misuse or neglect

Testing & Evaluation:

To ensure accurate warranty assessment:

  • Starting batteries are tested using a carbon pile load tester
  • Deep cycle batteries are tested using a discharge tester

All warranty claims are thoroughly evaluated using industry-standard methods.

Final Determination

If Thunder Battery or our partners determines—at its sole discretion—that a battery is defective due to materials or workmanship, it will be replaced.
